Country music newcomer Autumn Letendre is celebrating yesterday’s Flag Day with the release of her debut country album, Raise Your Flag.
The 10-track album is the result of Letendre’s inspiring and powerful story as a military widow and single mother. Fittingly, Letendre is the solo author of all but two songs on the album. Letendre’s story has been recognized nationally by First Lady Michelle Obama.

First Lady Michelle Obama Recognizes Autumn Letendre
October 28th, 2010 at 9:43amIn a speech given to thousands of women across the country at the Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference on Oct. 26, First Lady Michelle Obama recognized the Letendre family and the work of Autumn Letendre.
“And I am inspired by Gold Star Wives like Autumn Letendre. Autumn’s husband was killed in Iraq back in 2006. And in the years since, she’s become a passionate advocate for military families — speaking across the country, attending military funerals to comfort loved ones working to ensure that her husband’s memory lives on for her young son. And in a letter that she sent to military families, she wrote, simply: “I may have lost the love of my life, but I have gained a life and story that few in this great country have.”
‘Raise Your Flag’ Goes to Radio
October 21st, 2010 at 9:30pmAutumn Letendre is releasing her debut single, Raise Your Flag, to Country music stations across the country. The song, which recently hit 40,000 views on YouTube, goes for airplay on Nov. 11, Veterans Day.
